Patient Beliefs

Before giving your opinion, ask your patient, “what do you believe is going on?” You can’t guide them to where they want to go without first establishing where they are at. 


Acknowledging their beliefs also creates trust and opens the door to collaboration. It lets patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care—making your guidance far more effective.
