Pronouns

Trust is the foundation of everything we do, and the smallest gestures can either build it or break it.


Including your own pronouns in your email signature and adding a field on your intake paperwork takes seconds to update, but for patients who have spent years being misgendered in clinical settings, it signals something significant: this is a safe place. Patients who feel seen and respected are more likely to be honest, stay engaged, and follow through with their care. 


You don't have to have all the answers or get it perfect every time. What matters is that you're taking the first step in creating space for the conversation to happen at all.
